Israel-Day3-Capernaum

The town of Capernaum. Jesus spent almost 3 years here and performed 75% of his miracles here. In Matthew 11, Jesus counts Capernaum as an unrepentant city.
Matt 8:5: A Centurion came to Capernaum to ask Jesus to heal his servant with a word.

Peter's house. There is a building on top of it, probably a church but I didn't have time to go in it.
Matt 8:14: Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law then many who were demon-possessed and sick were healed.
Mark 2:4: A paralytic was lowered by friends through the roof to be healed by Jesus.

Roman milestone=1000 legionary steps. Legionaries could impound anyone to carry their equipment for one mile.
Matt 5:41: If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

Olive press. I haven't mentioned it yet, but there are cats EVERYWHERE.

The shore of the Sea of Galilee below Capernaum.
Matt 17:24: Jesus sends Peter to go to the lake and throw out his line. The first fish he catches will have a four-drachma coin in it's mouth; enough to pay Jesus and Peter's tax.
