Camping with the Huntoons 2009

Looks like we are making it an annual celebration to camp with the Huntoons at Ceran St. Vrain. Lake and John have so much fun playing in the dirt. They got WAY dirtier this year. Will that be a trend I wonder?

Lake loves mtn biking

We asked Lake if he preferred biking on pavement or in the dirt. His answer, "DIRT"!

Father's Day camping trip in RMNP

We met some friends in Rocky Mountain National Park for a camping trip (Camden's first). We saw elk in our campground, got some rain, hiked a beautiful trail, and enjoyed some family time in Estes Park.

Happiest baby checkup

Camden's 2 month appointment. Such a happy little guy...right before he got his shots.

Potty Training

This summer we potty trained Lake. You quickly learn what motivates or doesn't motivate your kid. Not a fun process but he caught on and he can make it through naps and night time. Each car in the picture represents a pee in the potty. :)

Hiking the Ann U White trail

Thanks to friends, we found a fun, toddler friendly trail. Lake had a super time throwing rocks in the river.

It's our Anniversary!

We celebrated 8 wonderful years together by hiking from our house to Chautauqua and having dinner at the Dining Hall. It was rejuvenating even though Camden got to tag along for this one.

Steve's birthday at Chautauqua

We met the Dundorfs for dinner at Chautauqua for Steve's birthday. All had a blast on the bumpy slide, especially Steve.

July in Michigan with the Oosterhouses

We had a birthday party for Ben and Lake with lots of good times with the cousins.

July in Michigan with the Bellevilles

Lake had his 3rd birthday in Tustin. We also met my friend, Jennifer at Johnny's Fish and Game Park and the boys went fishing with Grandpa for the first time. No hooks in the eye and we caught fish!

July in Michigan at the Cottage

We stayed at the cottage in White Hall, watched the 4th of July parade, took the boat out on Lake MI, and partied with the extended Grooters family. Lake found a friend at the party and Camden dipped his feet into a lake for the first time.

Grandma Oosterhouse visit #2

Some more great times with Grandma Oosterhouse. She got some big smiles out of Camden when he was less than a month and Lake happily watered our flowers from Grandma with the watering can she gave us.

Mothers Day

I do not know what I have gotten myself into :)
