Grandpa and Grandma Grooters came to visit and we had fun hiking and playing mini golf while they were here.

More random pictures. The tulip picture is from our first date with Camden on Pearl Street.

Heading home

Random pictures, but we had to throw in a picture of Camden with his best bud, Noah and one of me with all the Grooters and Seidel boys.

Hospital life

We had a great view from our room.

First bath

We didn't have one name picked out. We thought we'd wait until he was born to see what he looked like. His hair looked green and that made the decision making a little tough so we requested a bath thinking that might fix it. Well, it looked a little better but still like he'd been in the pool all day. The bath didn't help us any on the name.

Baby is born!

Baby boy born 4/14/09 at 4:53pm, 7lbs 5 oz, 20.1 in. I went into labor a little after 10am. I emailed Steve to be prepared to come home. I called him later to be home by 2 or 2:30. He got home just before 2:30 and we got to the hospital around 3. We had time for about one picture at the hospital. I went from 4cm when they first checked me to 8cm in about half an hour. Hurray for Steve being there this time!!!

Easter 2009

I was REALLY hoping for an Easter baby but we had fun at the Seidels house instead. Look at the sugar doped faces...

Lake's front flips

After Grandma Belleville's visit, Lake discovered the fun off flipping off a chair onto the inflatable mattress. Over and over and over and over...

Grandma Belleville visit

Halfway through Grandma Belleville's visit, I was taken off bedrest but still had to take it easy. We were able to get out some. My Uncle Bud passed away during this visit so my dad stopped on his way back through to see us and fly back with my mom.

Grandma Oosterhouse visit

While I was on bedrest, Grandma Oosterhouse (2 weeks) and Grandma Belleville (3 weeks) came out to help. What a blessing. It was tough playing toddler games on the couch for 5 weeks, but I wouldn't have survived without their help. They both got to bond with Lake while they were here. It was fun to watch. Lake and Grandma Oosterhouse went to the museum, hiked the "tough guy trail, and found the Cat in the Hat on Pearl Street among many other cool things.

Preterm labor fun

On 2/18, I went into preterm labor 9 weeks early and ended up taking magnesium (nasty drug) for 48 hours. I won't bore you with the details but I had trouble pulling the cap off my chapstick if that gives you a clue. Definitely the worst day of my life. Lake was super sweet. He would visit and wanted to be like mama so we put sheets and a pillow on the couch and pretended to give him an IV (straw) and a catheter.

Trying on some downhilling helmets

This is what Steve and Lake do when they want to give me a break...

Winter activities

Lake isn't super fond of snow (yet) but he does like shoveling! He also did some trials riding on the playfort. We took a trip up to the mountains and played some guitar hero. It's a good thing we don't own one. You can also see Lake in his favorite costume, nice.

My musicians

Steve took up the banjo and Lake has always loved guitars (and drums). I guess that's the Uncle Dan in him... Lake is singing some Rolling Stones in his picture, Gimme Shelter. ha ha
